| Have you adopted a dog from our shelter?
If so, we would love to invite you and your adopted dog to walk with us in the Annual City of Rock Island Labor Day Parade, Monday September 5th at 9:30am. The parade is 2 miles. We would like to showcase to the public all the wonderful dogs that have come from our shelter!
If you are bringing your dog, please make sure it gets along with other dogs. You will need to provide your own transportation and remember it may be very hot that day so plan accordingly. You do not have to commit to walking the entire parade, just as much as you and your dog would like. If you are interested please email Jan at

Dog Days of Summer - A Huge Success!

| This event was a huge success, especially if you judge it by the number of adoptions. Thirty-six, yes 36!!
animals found their forever homes this Saturday, July 16th. We helped keep everyone cool with yummy ice cream donated by Country Style Ice Cream. Thank you Country Style!!! There were also two beautiful gift baskets donated by Marie Ziegler and won by 2 lucky raffle winners.
What a wonderful day for the animals of the RI County Animal Care and Control Shelter.

| Our first even at ComedySportz was a huge success. It was a great show by very talented improv comedians, who also have big hearts. They donated half of their take for the evening and even passed the hat through the audience. It was a great chance for QCPAWS to tell our story and when the evening was over the result was a wonderful $1,000 donation by Comedysportz . |

| The 5th Annual Putts for Mutts Golf Outing is almost here. This is the QCPAWS Largest Fundraising Event of the Year! Money raised this year will be used to continue our efforts to reduce the stray population by providing reduced fees for spay and neutering, provide special care items and replenish our Angel Fund. The Angel Fund provides the extra-ordinary help to animals entering the shelter in desperate need of special medical attention. Our success depends on you.
